Guided by my design director, Josiah Werning, the two of us were the sole designers in charge of creating the look and feel of Target’s 2019 Holiday campaign. Together we created a world of plaid and turned it into a style guide that was implemented by hundreds of designers so that every banner ad, in-store sign, email blast, billboard, tv commercial, catalog, and social post worked together. And that, my friends, is why I can’t wear plaid again.
